The other day at work I pointed out to a coworker that he looked upset. He proceeded to take me to the side to say a few things to me, ending with “how would you like it if you worked somewhere for two years and some new kid came up to you and said ‘you look upset?’” As he was walking away I had another thought. Why am I so sad? There’s nothing particularly bad about my life - I have my health, a job, a few friends, food, and a place to live. I get out to have fun once and a while and try to relax when I have the time. So I ask you, why is there this underlying sadness in my life? Why am I so sad?

The last time I went to the beach I wanted to swim out as far as I can. I wanted to swim until I couldn’t possibly swim any more. It didn’t matter if I made it back or if I sunk to the bottom and drowned, I just wanted to swim out as far as I can. That’s why I didn’t go in the water, because I would never have made it back.

Thought of the Day: Whip Cream Party
So, hear of alcoholic whip cream? Good. I’ve got an idea. Everyone goes out and gets a can of it, then we all show up to a party. The catch: the only thing you can wear is the whip cream (and shoes).
